Oh my heavens! Oreo Mint Chocolate Ice Cream Pie is Delicious!!! When I made it on Saturday and I found out that it is extremely easy to make.
For today’s blog post I’m going to teach you how I made my pie.
Oreo Crust Recipe
This is crust is super delicious and extremely easy to make! You can use it for cheesecakes, tarts and more. Or you could just eat it plain. LOL
- 20 oreo cookies
- 1/2 a stick of butter (1/4 a cup)
Put the cookies in a bag and smash into crumbs or put the cookies into a food processor and pulse until crumbs. Add the butter and mix. Put the cookie crumbs into a pie plate and smooth into the shape of the pie plate. Make sure the sides are thick so that when you cut into the pie it will not break.
Cook at 350° for 10 minutes. Let it cool before putting in the filling. Enjoy!
Ice Cream Filling and Cream
The filling is amazing because it is so basic.
- 19.9 oz of any ice cream flavor you want (in our case mint chocolate chip)
- 8.5 oz box of whipping cream
- extra oreo cookie crumbs and chunks
Cut the ice cream up into sections and let defrost but not melt. Stir until a smooth consistency. Pour into cooled Oreo crust and smooth out. Cover with saran wrap and freeze until solid. To make the whipped cream up into a blender and pulse until whipped or whip with a hand mixer. When ready to serve smooth whipped cream onto ice cream layer and sprinkle with Oreo crumbs and chunks. you can use a sifter to make chocolate oreo powder. Cut and enjoy!
