#105 – 16 before 16 (2.0)

Remember my 16 before 16 goals? I don’t know if you know this about me, but I’m a perfectionist and a procrastinator. I don’t know how that works but it some how does. These are very bad habits that I have formed so to hopefully help break them, I’m going to change some of my goals so that they will be more doable. (Is that how you spell doable?) You will see that some of them I have actually completed!

My 16 before 16 Goals 2.0

#1 Learn to Juggle

Did you know that you are NOT supposed to use tennis balls for juggling? I didn’t know that until TODAY. I started this goal in January (gave up in January) now it’s April and I have been doing it all wrong. The video I will now be using states very clearly that when you use tennis balls they roll around everywhere, are too light and are just a pain to use. I think it’s time for me to find some different balls! I mentioned a new video right . . . It’s this one by the way:

#2 Get more flexible

I know last time I really focused on doing splits and that’s it. Look where it got me . . . NO WHERE! Ha! So what I decided to do is make splits one goal and flexibility another. I know, I know, I literally just said that focusing on splits got me no where, but I think that if I do some flexibility stretches first, then I will be able to do my splits again! Here’s the new video I will be using to learn flexibility:

Again it’s another 10 minutes a day goal. I’m excited!!

#3 Touch the ground with front and back splits.

Yep here’s the splits goal now. . . One of the things that don’t work from the last goal was that I didn’t really set a good enough (easier to achieve) goal. I set “go all the way down” but what does the really mean!? So to make it “easier” I will be working on my splits every day after my Pilates and my stretches for flexibility. Here’s the video for my splits:

What makes it even better is that she is around my age!

#4 Do Blogilates 30 Day 100 Abs Challenge ✅ (already completed)

I know, you think I’m crazy for doing ALL of these work out classes or stretches but to tell you the truth, I LOVE WORKING OUT!!! That sounds crazy for a teenager (who also loves eating junk and watching movies oh and sleeping) but it is so true!! I started this Pilates challenge when my family and I started the low FODMAP reset “diet”. I loved doing this challenge and I can now tell you know that I actually have abs! It’s amazing and I recommend it to everyone in this whole world. By the way, it is a challenge so be prepared to die some days! Hahaha just kidding! Below is one of my favorite work out moves:

#5 Go vegan for at least 16 days ✅ (already completed)

When becoming vegan was the thing, I told myself I would never ever go vegan. Well . . . for part of the low FODMAP “diet” we HAD TO go vegan. Crazy right!!! I didn’t really like it, but man, I feel so much better! (I’m healthier and I drink more water) We are now slowly eating meat again! It’s amazing!! Below are two vegan recipes I really enjoy making for dinner:

#6 Finish reading The Book of Mormon before my birthday!

Yes I did actually continue doing this goal but no I’m not using that fancy, cute coloring page for my tracker. Instead I am using the gospel library app study plan tracker:

I LOVE listening to The Book of Mormon while I eat breakfast! If you haven’t read the book I highly recommend it!

#7 Finish my $700 dollar tracker ✅ (actually completed)

I did it!! I finished it!!!! I have made 700 dollars!!

#8 Be on post #116 on my birthday!

I am working on this and making plans on what topics I want to write about! So . . . Don’t worry!!

#9 Read 7 learning books (and add them to #Snaplibrary) ✅

Y’all know I LOVE READING! But since I don’t have a lot of time, I have decided to change the goal to 1+6 instead of 16 books. I’m not done with all the books on the list but here are the books I have chosen for this goal:

Because of our low FODMAP “diet” I had to try tons of new recipes. I chose to only to post 7 of them because I thought that 16 recipes would be too many! Hahaha (The links are below the pictures)

#12 Try 16 hairstyles and take pictures of them!

This one is so much fun! It will be a lot of work but then I will know lots of new tricks for my hair. Here is the first one:

#13 Get rid of at least 16 items using the KonMari Method ✅ (already completed)

I really enjoyed doing this goal! I LOVE TIDYING MY ROOM! It was very enjoyable to go through my things and get rid of stuff I didn’t need anymore! If you want to learn more about KonMari, here is the link to her (Marie Kondo) website:

#14 Paint 7 Different Watercolor Paintings✅

I have decided that that 7 paintings will be better than doing 16. I feel I will do a better job and include more detail if I just do 7. But hey! 7 paintings is a lot of work! Hahaha, but it will be fun work! Here’s an old painting I did:

#15 Learn a new song on piano 

I decided that 16 new songs was going to be too many, so I decided to pick one and learn it on the piano. Can you guess which song I picked? (Oh wait, I haven’t told you about my favorite Disney cartoon yet. . .) I picked “Lost in the Wood“ from the movie Frozen 2!

#16 Complete all my goals listed above!!

Hopefully because I put this as my last goal, I will complete all the other goals!!!
